RTL-SDR with Raspberry Pi 4 P25 I am looking for help getting my Raspberry Pi4 setup and working with my SDR to decode P25 single channel trunked system. I have tried DSD, OP25, SDRtrunk and all have failed. I believe my main issue is the system I’m interested in is P25 single channel trunked system. Control/voice data is sent on one frequency. This was easy to setup on a windows box with dsd but no luck on the pi.

New here, thanks. One question: if I put a disk-cone at about 10′, and live in a semi-flat area, what kind of coverage can I expect? After a move and 4 years laying in the barn, my 40′ tower seems no closer to standing . . .

I’ve been playing with the RTL-SDR for a bit now and I was wondering what sorta antenna to build is good option for a greenhorn noob SDR user like myself. I’m not looking at any sorta band in particular, I’m just enjoying the random scanning of frequencies and what not. What would generally be a ideal antenna to build to improve generalized reception. The rabbit ears (diapole base antennas) that come with it are cute, but they’re not the best thing in the world.
