SDR# (SDRSharp) x86 rev 1732 dies on rdp

Is anyone experiencing SDR# locking up when you end a rdp session. I have tried win10 and win7 with no luck. I think it's because after the session, windows locks the session. This is only on SDR# as all my other applications stay alive. This new version is really buggy and bloated but I have to use it as nothing else used to work well on rdp. Tired all types of hacks to stop windows locking a session... No luck

Brand new user here, read all the instructions, users guide, everything, but EXTREMELY disappointed in reception! Tried all sorts of adjustments on the included "dipole" antenna elements, even connected to external discone antenna, and STILL very little signal!
Since you mention the dipole i assume you are talking about the official rtl-sdr.com v3 dongle?

Did you read the instruction 14, which says:
"Important! Don't forget to also adjust the RF gain settings by pressing the Configure button (looks like a cog) up the top next to the Play button. By default the RF gain is set at zero. A gain of zero will probably receive nothing but very strong broadcast FM - increase the gain until you start seeing other signals. "
Set the gain to 37.2db.

fwiw i do not need to do that with my e4000 based dvb-t stick i bought forever ago, so it appears that not all rtl-sdr sticks require this step.

USRP transmit frequency band

Hi,

I am new for communication technology. I just got an USRP B210. Which frequency band can I use if I want to use USRP to transmit radio in experiment?

Thanks.

Vince thanks for the tip!
rtl_fm works also e.g. /mnt/d/SDR/Software/Rtl_tcp/rtl_fm.exe -p 7 -d 1 -g 29.6 -M fm -F9 -s 15K -f402870000 2>nul | sox -t raw -r 15k -e s -b 16 -c 1 – -r 48000 -b 8 -t wav – lowpass 2600 2>nul | ./dfm09mod –ecc -v –ptu –auto 2>&1

Kiki, i just tried but no support for rtl_tcp its run like this and cannot find device: ./dumpvdl2 –rtlsdr 1 –gain 49 136725000 136775000 136875000 136975000 2>&1

L-Band Patch Antenna Dimensions And Other Right Handed Questions!

I am looking to build my own L-Band patch antenna as a personal project and have been doing some digging online and thus far have not come across a lot of usable information for myself in regard to the size and dimensions of L-Band patch antennas. Other than the ground plane needs to be bigger than the active plane and two of the corners of the active plane must be removed at specific depths parallel to each other and the two planes must be separated by a specific amount. And that is all fine but I would rather have some concrete facts about size and angles and other factors before setting out and buying minerals and cutting them. For reference, I would like to be able to pick up Inmarsat, Iridium, NOAA, GOES and GPS but possibly others. But for now Inmarsat and Iridium are the main two with NOAA and GOES a close second.

I am looking to create an antenna with a ground plane 12" x 12" minimum up to perhaps 18" x 18". Any larger than that and i might as well get a dish antenna i suppose.

Any assistance would be of tremendous help and Thank you ahead of time!
