Beginners guide to NOAA/weather satellite images?

Hi all, is this still a good resource for learning about how to receive weather satellite images: https://www.rtl-sdr.com/rtl-sdr-tutorial-receiving-noaa-weather-satellite-images/comment-page-1/ ? I've seen a few comments that it might not be as relevant these days. I am a complete beginner with regards to all things radio (not just RTLSDR stuff) so I'm looking for something that holds my hands through the process haha. TIA!

Decoding Software Suggestions For B200?

Hi All,

I've been playing around with my B200, mostly just listening into interesting FM broadcasts and scanning the spectrum using GQRX. Can anyone recommend any compatible decoding software or any interesting tools that will work on Parrot OS? Ideally I'm looking for tools that are relatively easy to setup and use since I'm still relatively new to Linux, reading and following guides is fine but it's a nightmare to try and find the right commands if someone leaves it out of a tutorial.

Otherwise the available bandwidth on the B200 is amazing but I have to cap it 50% as the SDR can easily overload the processing power of my laptop sporting a Ryzen 2500u. Windows binaries for the B200 are sadly broken, they are missing an important libusb dll. Linux supports all the advanced functionality but windows is a lot more painless to setup.

GFSK Demodulation

I have an IoT chip that I would like to try and demodulate with an RTLSDR.

The RF Chip is the:
WL-SI4438 GT-38 SI4438/4463 Or HC12, if you buy it elsewhere. There isn't much information on the datasheet regarding modulation methods so I dug deeper and found that it uses the Silicon labs' Si4438 transceiver.

According to the Si4438 datasheet, the device is capable of modulating in FSK, GFSK, and OOK modes. MSK can also be used by messing with the GFSK settings. The Data sheet also says that, "GFSK is the recommended modulation type as it provides the best performance..."

I assume that the GT-38 modulates in GFSK as recommended and I'm trying to build a receiver with an RTLSDR. I have gone through GNU radio and looked online, but could not find any functioning examples. I've done a bit of researching and understand the basic concepts, but I recognize that there are important and subtle differences between the various FSK methods. I've also looked through this thread and found the Liquid SDR library. The closest thing to GFSK is GMSK and/or FSK within the library, which i don't know how to implement.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How to fix signal dip in center on bandwidths above 3MHz???

So i'm running an RSP2 on SDRConsoleV3. Whenever I am tuned on any hardware frequency (100.7 in top half of waterfall) I get a very annoying dip in the center. So I always have to hardware tune away and then software tune to whatever I want to listen to. I have tried changing the IF gain which can fix the dip but then I get just noise everywhere. How can this be fixed its very annoying?

The Kerberos SDR is literally 4 RTL-SDRs on one board with their clocks tied together. They can be treated as 4 separate RTLs in any SDR program.
