Evening all, sorry more questions..... Visible bandwidth, im seeing about 1.7 mhz at anyone time, is there a way to see more of the band in one go. Filters,,, are there any better somewhere in the program that im not finding.... Receive audio , again is there any improvements, that im not finding..... Or is it all down to the quality of the dongle. ... The only time iv ever used sdr before was a few years ago i used to use a flex 1500 on hf, and the and it was so good i sold a few of my hf sets , the rx audio the filters etc etc, were simply stunning. Will i ever get close to this sort of quality receive or am i wasting my time with a dongle and maybe invest in a better unit , im sorry guys for all the questions, but thanks in advance.

Probably you're tap window at wrong point. Use button on the right-bottom corner to resize it.

What antenna do you use to retrieve images from satellites?

I’ve tried using the dipole antenna that came with the RTL SDR kit and haven’t had any luck picking up a signal from NOAA 18 or 19 on 137.35 as it passes across the horizon.

Do I need a different antenna or a pass over that’s directly above?

Signal ID: Unknown HF Data(?) Transmission

Occurs just outside 20m.
Probably military, but curious as I haven't seen it on sigidwiki/artemis.

Questions about these waterfall shots. As a NOAA satellite passes overhead, what are those traces that converge then diverge, and what are the regular pulses that do not shift at all?

KerberosSDR • Re: Power connection question

Is there a documentation of the GPIO connector on the board and can the Kerberos be powered through that?

KerberosSDR • Re: Power connection question

The amperage on the PSU is only a tangential indicator of how good the regulation is under higher load. The problem really is that the Pi needs a stable voltage and the resistance in the supply will create a large enough voltage drop to make it unhappy if the unloaded voltage (at the PSU end) starts out below 5.1V. On the other hand the voltage shouldn't go above 5.25V really, so that's not an easy target. Just measure the output voltage of the PSU under no load and at around 1A to figure out the load characteristic, if you can also measure the voltage at the PSU and and the Pi you'll also be able to determine the resistance from the cable/connectors. You'll want to get that to around 100mOhm, but you'll find that it is often three or four times that value. Do not connect/disconnect the microUSB end under load if you can help it, these miniature connectors degrade quickly under that stress.
