Can you please post a dummies version of how to enable HF reception using GQRX on Mac OSX?

Can SDR# read GQRX .raw files?

I'm preparing for my first Meteor-M 2 capture, and I would like to record the raw data with GQRX's I/Q recorder, and then put it into SDR# on my Windows desktop PC where I can install LRPT decoding software. Will it be possible? I won't have many tries, so I want to make sure that what I'm doing is correct.

Custom Antenna

I believe it's been 6 months since I purchased my dongle, and I have lost one of the big telescoping Antenna rods that came with the v3 kit. If I was really desperate and broke how would I create a custom Antenna. (Do have access to wood and assorted electrical wire.).

The intended audience for this product are those who need a very high performance radio platform and in making such a platform, the costs are higher than let’s say, a lower bandwidth, limited FPGA resource, and ONLY receive platform. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. You are correct, there is a difference between sampling bandwidth and application bandwidth. The metrics we are referring to are sampling bandwidth which is typically the metric of interest and presented for SDRs (as we have found).

Antenna and settings for mapping noise in 900MHz ISM


I've got an interference problem affecting hundreds to thousands of endpoints in 910-920 range that appears to be caused by noise over almost the enture ISM band that I am attempting to locate. I am believing the interference is noise because the noise floor in a particular area jumps up in SDRSharp when driving around a particular area. Apparently a number of users of the ISM band have been having issues in this area and it's also affecting non-ISM bands as well from what the local public safety agency tells me.

I've put together some scripts to pair up GPS coordinates with outputs from rtl_power in order to see if I can narrow down the source of the noise, but I am unsure how best to configure an antenna and rtl_power settings to analyze this. My first effort really only highlighted legitimate signals as hotspots, probably since I had the rtl_power gain too high. I am thinking I need to minimize the SNR ratio, perhaps a junky antenna with minimal gain settings? Do you have any ideas on how best to quantify noise while driving around town?

Is there any WebSDR/KiwiSDR/openWebRX clients available?


I am looking for a WebSDR client . I need 2-3 audio flows from different locations, now I do manually in browser, but maybe somebody seen some kind of CLI (preferable) or GUI client?
