Male MCX plug broke off in female jack.

Title pretty much sums it up. Wasn't paying attention and must've pulled the antenna off my Nano 3 the wrong way. Any suggestions on getting it out, or do I need to just return it?

Comment on Testing the Outernet Dreamcatcher: Linux Based ARM PC with Built in RTL-SDR by NightSurfer

looks like the “Higher-spec component parts vs. complete Thing-on-a-board for the same price” argument is blown out of the water now the price has been reduced to less than USD40.

Troubleshooting Help • recognizes none of my SDR.

I have 4 RTL-SDR dongles, from whom four are brand new V3.0 devices.
But my system (WIN10)reports that no device is selected.
So I ran zadig again to re-install the drivers, but no success.

Trying the other 3 out of the box devices same result.

can anyone explain to me whats wrong here?? please

Tips for getting the most out of my RTL-SDR, upconverter and random long wire.

What I have:

  • RTL-SDR dongle
  • HamItUP upconverter w/ encloser
  • NooElec 1:9 Balun
  • 50 feet of 16GA speaker wire

I'm getting decent results with this setup but there are a lot of factors that could make it better. Right off the bat, if I could raise the height of the wire I imagine I'd get better results, but my options to do this is limited. I did have some other ideas though.

I have 50 feet of speaker wire, when split down the middle that'd make two sections 50' long... Right now the first 10' of wire is still connected and split making a 40' leg of it hanging in a tree and the other part is just laying on the ground since I don't have a ground rod to ground it to.

Would I likely get better results if I separate the wires and twist the ends of one side together to make a 100' long center fed dipole versus a end-fed 50' long wire? (I have more speaker wire that I could use to cut a 8' section or so to connect to the ground side and wrap it around a metal pole or something if that'd help)

Would it be better if I shorten the 'ground wire', since it's just sort of laying there doing nothing besides being a mess of wire laying in my grass outside my window? Would that help with reception at all?

With ONLY WHAT I HAVE ABOVE, what can I do to make the most out of what I have?

Other SDR Devices • Re: Dreamcatcher user here?

:D I need just collect the Data and set it out via Lan.
Do you know its possible to do the login over an Gui with Wifi?
99% of all Hotspot require some Login even with an "I accept".
I dont know what is required for? My idea is use an Proxy Server for.
And I realy hope there is an VPN Client in the Software to login.
In some country its not that very legal to collect.
